**** PART-TIME ,NO BENEFITS, APPROXIMATELY 20 HOURS A WEEK****
This is an advanced position responsible for enforcing the Laws of the Federal Government, State of Florida and City of Brooksville Code of Ordinances. Duties include, but are not limited to, modern patrol techniques including a working knowledge of Community policing practices, line supervisory skills, defensive tactics, traffic control, police vehicle safety, firearms, investigations, first responder techniques. Advanced legal knowledge of criminal justice system and courtroom procedures required , along with daily public contact requiring tact, courtesy and interpersonal communication skills. Supplemental academic incentive pay for eligible employees. Education: High School Diploma or GED, Florida State Certified Law Enforcement Officer. Minimum of two (2) years of sworn police officer experience in the State of Florida or five (5) years out of state experience with Florida Certification. Responds to calls for assistance to incidents involving fire suppression, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Hazardous Materials and other public safety activities within the City of Brooksville or as otherwise assigned.
