The legacy of the late Jerome Brown, Philadelphia Eagle defensive lineman and Hernando High School three sport letterman, lives on in Brooksville, with the Jerome Brown Community Center.
The Jerome Brown Community Center (JBCC), which opened in May 2000 is an outstanding multi-purpose recreational facility; the purpose of which is to promote family and youth togetherness and spirit by providing recreational, educational and athletic opportunities accessible to all. This complex consists of a basketball gymnasium, meeting rooms and kitchen facilities.
The Jerome Brown Community Center can host a variety of community events with facilities for: Social / Service clubs, Youth events, Receptions, Reunions; Youth athletic activities, Motivational speakers' programs; Drug prevention education / awareness activities for youth; Opportunities for broad-based cultural and educational enhancements;
