Uptown Art Gallery Print

 

City of Brooksville - Uptown Art Gallery

Brooksville City Hall is the Host for Uptown Art Gallery.  The City of Brooksville hosts exhibits for all mediums, from hand crafted jewelry to digital art throughout the year. Any group and/or independent artists are welcome to display their creative work.The Uptown Gallery is a great opportunity to feature new and unseen talent in Hernando County.  All artwork display the artist information and if available, the purchase price.  

The Uptown Art Gallery was established in 1998 in cooperation with the Hernando Fine Arts Council and the City of Brooksville.  City Hall provides an ideal location for local and regional artist to display their work.   The Uptown Art Gallery hosts new exhibits throughout the year. Each exhibit reception is sponsored in part by the Brooksville Junior Service League and Hernando County Fine Arts Council.  Receptions are free and open to the public.

PERMANENT COLLECTIONS:


The Uptown Art Gallery is the permanent home of the Hernando Heritage Quilt.  The quilt is made up of 22 blocks, with each block portraying a part of the county’s history. 

A catalog of the works by artist Mary A. Coogler (1879-1957) is archived at the Gallery. 

The Uptown Art Gallery also has an extensive private collection of donated works that include the Lewis Watkins’ Historical Prints.
