Thank you for your interest in our beautiful City.

The City of Brooksville, County Seat of Hernando County for more than one hundred years was established in 1856, and was incorporated October 13, 1880.  Brooksville is a thriving residential/commercial community which has experienced continuous growth while preserving its original charm.  There are several modern medical facilities, which serve our area including Brooksville Regional Hospital, Oak Hill Community Hospital and Spring Hill Regional Hospital. Brooksville also boasts campus Pasco-Hernando Community College an accredited two year College which combines high tech educational facilities and state-of-the-art programs with an old-fashioned focus on teaching, located at the northern edge of our city, a thriving, busy, business section with eleven shopping centers, an excellent library and a regional airport located just six miles south of our city.  There are three city parks with walking trails, sports, and picnicking facilities, including a nine-hole golf course and many other desirable features.

 

Brooksville has an estimated population of 8,000, located at the intersections of U.S. 41, U.S. 98, and S.R. 50 in Hernando County.  Brooksville is about forty-five miles north of Tampa and fifteen miles east of the Gulf of Mexico and is nestled among beautiful, rolling hills.



Brooksville strives to provide a high quality of life making our city an excellent opportunity for opening or relocating your business.

Brooksville and Hernando County are rich in southern hospitality, motivated by visions of tomorrow.
