The Department of Public Works consists of a number of divisions which provide a broad range of services to the public, including: Street Division Patching streets;install and repair sidewalks; Cleaning and repairing drainage systems; Mowing right-of-ways; Public construction projects; Maintenance of public buildings and Street signage.
Fleet Maintenance Maintains all City work vehicles and equipment; Utilization of vendors for vehicle repair, if necessary; Implementation and carry-through of preventive maintenance program for City vehicles and equipment.
Solid Waste Water and Wastewater Maintain existing water distribution and sewer collection lines; Provide safe drinking water; Provide safe sewage disposal; Maintenance of two sewer disposal plants, three water plants and related equipment.
